Most Christians if not all, I think, can testify that they have suffered attacks by evil forces, and also, the power of the living God in rescuing, and bringing them out of troublesome situations.

I have.

You hold a warped understanding of the truth.
And, in petulant manner, from your posts.

is a classic example of how Scripture can challenge us to dig deeper and find new levels and layers of meaning.

if Christianity has to divide even our family members than so be it. Serve God first and foremost. Ideally though family unity is important too.

I think the key word there, Wally, is "disciple", which today I think would specify as clergy.

because human affairs are meaningless with regards to what God is up to?

We think a lot of ourselves but we aren't nearly as intelligent as we give ourselves credit for.

for example bawling that since we aren't getting our own way god is evil is the same as acting like a petulant child. What we are REALLY lucky about is god seems impartial... that we don't get swatted for our impertinance. Because this is allowing us to be bawling petulantly about a bad situation is as allowable as the bad situation itself? HE isn't going to force you to think perfect thoughts that make him feel all warm and fuzzy about whatever it is that he is doing? Instead he is just going to do it?

Forever getting lost in what we think should be and not being able to see clearly as a result... it is not a good path.

Unlike you, I don't claim to hold the ultimate truth. I have my own personal truth based on my life experiences, and it just happens to be the opposite of your personal truth. I could go into much deeper detail but it's of no use because that would be like trying to explain a blind person what the colour blue looks like.

Well S.O.L., instead of coming off as a petulant kid who didn't get what he wanted, and so rejects the Almighty who is eternal and Truth?

Why not share something of your experiences?

The Lord has contrasted in His teachings in the Gospels, the differences between heaven, and, "the world".
"In this world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." - Jesus

You seem to forget that not everyone is interested in gospels or bibles that are written by who knows who. Some find or don't find their own personal God inside, self realization.
Everyone is different and many Christians reject parts of gospels/bibles as most of the myths are just ' Repeated History '.
SOL has his own personal reasons for feeling as he does and has every right to. He will find his own way......

That just is not true. Almost ALL Christians accept the Bible. There is only you here who does not. Your beliefs are profoundly New Age/Hindu/Gnostic yet you have to maintain that you are Christian. It is just silly.

Morpheus just about everyone has been on the other end of unloving non Christian like mannerisms...I know that I have.. And so why not instead of being so unChristian like in your choice of words/terminology for people, as you have done in slayers case in the above post & others.. ie :- petulant little kid...why not be more Christian like, more loving & polite & patient & say to slayer, that maybe he is not quite on the money, when he refers to God as he does, or something to that effect, you should be able to figure it out mmm.

& then instead of continuously citing seemingly war like devastion of biblical allegorical rhetoric from the pages of the bible, which by the way he has said, that he has had enough of it forced into him before to have turned him off of it & away from God. maybe you could explain God & the laws of the universe lovingly, as God knows it all & of which you should know but never seem to put forth in your own words.

This is how I converse with other wonderful Soul brothers & sisters that have lost faith..& it has been made clear to me that the lost in faith respond well to loving humane communication regarding God & the universe, instead of refering to people as DISAFFECTED, WAYWARD ETC ETC...LOVE & COMPASSION, IS HOW JESUS WOULD HAVE SPOKEN TO THE LOST IN FAITH.

REGARDS NEIL.

Tried that before with religious people, didn't get anywhere. My experiences are very private and personal, far beyond the comprehension of someone who thinks they know the ultimate truth and try to rub it on the face of others who disagree with hem. On top of that, discussing things with you feels more like I am being interrogated so why should I even bother to attempt..
