I've been checking some of the links you shared, and they happen to be interesting.
I regularly look for disclosure/exopolitics information, and I think it is not only a vaste but also fascinating subject (the future I tend to believe).

Have you seen the files the CIA recently declassified about UFOs?
I tried to share the link here but, unfortunately, I haven't posted enough to do so.
But you can find these files on the CIA official website.

Also, there are hundreds of qualified testimonies in various domains on YouTube, one of the channel is SiriusDisclosure I think.
I couldn't forget to mention the National Press Club conference in 2000 (you mentioned John Podesta earlier, he was testifying there too), or even the Citizen hearing on Diclosure conference that happened a few years ago in front of former American congress members.

Hi Okhma, thanks for stopping by.

There was another member who posted links of the National press club testimonies, etc. Guys like Greer, Bassett, etc. have been at it for years. Almost for as long as the new age channelers have been talking about ascension into the 5th dimension, which i find an interesting parallel to draw, not to say there is any correlation b/t them, necessarily. Although being whisked away in spaceships to escape a world descending in the flames of armageddon is not dissimilar from wanting to ascend out of the mire spiritually-dimensionally.

Disclosure in this context is kind of a loaded word i think. Disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrials? Only the et's (if that is what they are) can disclose their own existence; and historically speaking, they've been elusive in that regard unless they reveal themselves to individuals or small groups. Often seem quite mercurial, trickster-ish.

Another thing to consider is this, are we capable witnesses? Maybe the only thing preventing a full, conscious awareness and apprehension of every facet of the entirety of who/what aliens and ufos are, is us. Maybe they're standing beside us this very moment in our living rooms, and the only thing preventing our recognition of them is certain of our senses being atrophied or undeveloped/underdeveloped. Maybe they are us, or we them, (timetravellers theory, for example) in which case, how much in denial are we?

In few of preceding pages of this thread i link many articles that mention what is often referred to as the initiatory nature of the phenomenon. They can often sort of shatter the conceptual-reality framework of those who have the more charged, impressionably significant experiences. Which could be a good &/or bad thing.

Even assuming we have laid suitable groundwork for them to appear, which their crafts are able to land upon, (perhaps many people are ready for disclosure) is the social fabric itself able to withstand the entirely novel reality of the existence of a superior, off world intelligent race that may be radically different than our own? We cannot even reconcile differences among ourselves politically, culturally, religiously, economically, etc.

The question i guess is disclose what, and how much? Does the govt. for example, admit knowledge of abductions? And their inability to prevent them from occurring? That might not go down so well in terms of reassuring to the public.

Alien technology? Thus showing their hand to political rivals, opening up attempts of espionage to compromise & steal said secrets/intelligence/information? One wonders about some of what is intimated by certain people re: the u.s. military industrial complex. Advanced, alternative forms of energy? Dependence on gas and oil will be a tough one to rend not only from those who own things, but the entire infrastructure of roads, vehicles, the mentality itself.

I think many diff. disciplines are involved in the ufo/alien question, as John Mack suggested. What subject does it not encompass? Physics, quantum or otherwise, biology, chemistry, religion, anthropology (ancient aliens anyone?) sociology and cultural relativism, psych-ology & -iatry, economics, technology of all kinds, philosophy... it runs the gamut and covers everything essentially.

I remember quite clearly when the internet went online. If not for that, conversations like this would not be possible, point being, the future is very much now, already, and what this future looks like will depend largely upon what we do, now.

If the medium is the message, ufo's and aliens are pretty mainstream nowadays, maybe that was by design. Maybe this IS what disclosure looks like. News people telling us about our experiences, in the larger social arena. To me it has always been a human question, b/c that is the only way in which to apprehend or determine anything about 'them'.

Look at the Greys, for instance. In large part cold, invasive, manipulative, sterile, dispassionate, scientific (most all abductions involve "testing" upon the individual victim/experiencer). Often warning of us of the destruction we're doing to the planet and consequences of doing so. Yet as a whole, our civilization treats the planet much like they treat us! (refer to description opening sentence of this paragraph). Is it then, in part a reflection/projection back to us of our own deficiencies as an intelligent race? Or is our behavior somehow under a negative et influence, thus we act in such ways?

Consider also, many aboriginal cultures (emphasis on 'original') incorporated/integrated the star people into their reality with far less incredulity and far greater respect than per captia, on average western civilization has. In that sense, disclosure happened a long time ago, and has fallen by the wayside in the material pursuit of progress and the infinite competition for finite resources.

Maybe the gradual infiltration and embedding (alleged hybrids?) of (the) alien(s) into human society is right on schedule, at least fr. the et/'other' POV.

Another issue to me is this, on some level the phenom seems to be a pure manifestation of the mysterious. Mysteries, by definition, are unknowns; and how do you disclose the unknown, maybe the unknowable? have to keep the questions coming so that the quest can continue, keep coming back with more adventures to pursue, keep us on our toes. They could be our greatest nightmare or beyond our wildest best hopes and dreams come true. In either case, the end result is often a profound change occurring in how we see the world, ourselves- and going by the maxim 'be the change', maybe the world itself. Maybe this is the name of the game.

I'm also excited for the future. An interesting time to be alive.

My hats off btw, to guys like Friedman, Greer and Bassett for their efforts in regards to disclosure. If nothing else, they've managed to organize, gather and present a multitude of great witness testimony. In general terms, it's probably safe to say they raised some awareness of the ufo/alien issue. Hope my earlier rant did not come off as dismissive, was not my intention, was more less musing aloud which ended up becoming a sort of editorial essay on my current thoughts.

There may be some things I take issue w/ when it comes to Greer, at least his theory of all aliens are good and all abductions are performed by the govt. or military, that sort of thing. But yeah they've been doing it for years, Bassett with his trademark 'truth embargo' phrase, Friedman likewise with his 'Cosmic Watergate.'

I think Podesta getting Hilary Clinton to say, outright, during a presidential campaign no less, that she will look into area 51 and the ufo question is itself, seems pretty substantial disclosure wise. Perhaps it's popular enough now that it's an advantageous stance to take b/c u.s. voters consider it important? Why else would she risk making any kind of serious statement involving ufos? Is it indicative of a wider acceptance of the subject in general? Granted presidents have spoken about it before, but never quite as pointedly or openly that i can recall, least during active political careers.
