Peaceful Warrior - Movie
A true story movie based on the book "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" of the same name by Dan Millman
Starring Nick Nolte
Wow - talk about living your spirituality - very inspiring. I've never seen a movie based on using spiritual principals in this way before.
Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

It is an excellent film, though not really a "true story," although some key basic story elements did happen. (Rather, both the book and later the film were inspired by some "true events" that Dan Millman experienced.) The author himself admits to fictionalizing many events in his book. He was greatly influenced by Carlos Castaneda and his literary work, and created a very similar type of story with a fictional teacher, "Socrates" (very similar to Castaneda's "don Juan Matus") who actually represents Millman's Higher Self.

I've been meaning to watch the movie for a while now; I found the book to be fantastic, and just what I needed to read at the time :)

I saw it a few years ago and liked it a lot. I never read the book(although I did start to read it once).
My favorite scene(or at least one of them) was when Nick Nolte convinces the robbers to take most of their clothes as well as their wallets and they walk home in their underwear.
I actually can't think of any other spiritual movies off the top of my head. Supposedly there was a movie version of the Celestine Prophecy but I haven't seen it and apparently it wasn't very well received.

Pity the producer is a convicted paedophile (Victor Salva - who also did the 'jeeper's creepers' movies.

I enjoyed this movie. I also enjoyed the book. Definitely a worthwhile movie.
