I'm not really sure what you mean. Completed? Was it a vow for a certain number of rounds? In that case it would be completed when that number is finished.
Most mantra diksha involves a lifetime vow ... once a day or so many rounds for the rest of your life. So in that case you just keep doing it until ...
Was it a mantra given (or taken) just to meet a particular goal, like getting a job. In that case, once the goal is achieved, you can stop.

Mantras end....try meditating on the thing that never ends
and always was...just my 2 cents. Finding someone to show
what that is and where it is, will be a fun journey.
Sorry for the intrusion.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Though i am not sure what are you doing , but what ever you doing , are you maintaining this Verse from Gita !
Bhagavad Gita, Chapter II, Verse 47 ...
Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana,
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani
You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions.Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you won’t be attached to not doing your duty.
Anyway , Vinayaka and Miss Hepburn are very true ..... my thought regarding this is , if you got Mantra Diksha from your guru , ask him , but generally it is a lifetime vow.

Yes, ask your guru what Vivekanda asked gurus until Ramakrishna
said, yes, to his questions..."Have you seen God and can you show me God?"
Or is all he can give is a mantra, up to you.
I don't know why I keep imposing my 2 cents.
I won't anymore. Sorry.

In my honest opinion the result will be "no-result"
sampradaya-vihina ye mantras te nisphala matah
atah kalau bhavisyanti catvarah sampradayinah
sri-brahma-rudra-sanakah vaisnavah ksiti-pavanah
catvaras te kalau bhavya hy utkale purusottamat
ramanujam sri svicakre madhvacaryam caturmukhah
sri visnusvaminam rudro nimbadityam catuhsanah
Any mantra that does not come in disciplic succession is considered to be useless. Four divine individuals will appear in the age of Kali to found disciplic schools. The founders of these four Vaisnava sampradayas are Laksmi, Brahma, Rudra and Sanaka Rishi, and their teachings will eventually spread from Purusottama (Jagannatha Puri). Ramanuja was chosen by Goddess Laksmi to represent Her sampradaya; Madhvacarya was chosen by Brahma; Visnusvami was chosen by Rudra and Nimbaditya was chosen by the four Kumaras. (Padma Purana)

totally disagree sanatanam
any mantra that invokes the divine will bring about the divines grace, which is higher than any earthly guru. what is important is `intent` and past efforts spiritually of the individual.

I'm in the middle ... not totally useless, but better if given at the right time by the right person.
