I work with Faerie (fairy) guides, and I have noticed that they have definite mischievous streak, something which humans often misunderstand. In my experience the 'tricks' that they play are not meant to be annoying or hurtful but rather to get peoples attention, or encourage them to pay attention to the little things that we often ignore. So the trickster aspect kind of fits, but fallow you instincts.
Also when dealing with an unknown being sometimes it does help just to ask it who it is. Some of them just love to tell you all about themselves ;)

Thank you! That is how I feel about it - like whatever it is means no harm...
I switched where the mug is - it happened again last night - the one was moving by itself when no one had been near it...
I will watch and see if switching where it was makes a difference.
