i see emotions as a tool for the heart to use as a means to
understand things. the heart can direct mind and isn't limited
to being an emotional control center.

Our emotions are different things. They are sometimes ego and sometimes heart. If we face them then it will open the heart more and we will know who we are.

I see the heart as an authentic truth-teller. It speaks to us through our emotions and even our body. It communicates and reflects our unconscious beliefs and values. I don't think the heart ever lies. I don't believe it can. Now, when an unconscious belief or value comes to the light of consciousness, it may be transformed. Nevertheless, there is a legitimate reason for the emotions our hearts convey to us, whether we are responding to a conditioning of our unconscious mind (and an outdated belief) or not.

When we think too much and tend to rationalise and overanalyse things, we are said to 'be all in our head' or 'all in our mind'.
Love is that which goes beyond headspace, beyond the mind and rational thought...so there has to be a separate place for it.
Whenever I experience a soul-connection, there is a fantastic and pure rush of adrenalin, causing my adrenal glands to go into overdrive and it feels like somebody has punched me in the chest, but oh that pain is so exquisite.
It's opening my 'heart chakra' up and bringing me 'down' from living in my third-eye for too long.
That's why they say the heart is love...it's not the physical heart anywhere in the body, it's a cosmic heart that beats in time with one's own.
I'm still learning what all these emotions are, but I guess that some lessons were never meant to be taught.

I see the heart is the cousin to the heart and vice versa plus our emotions. I want to believe that our emotions are our heart and vice versa. Curious Paul

the way i see it, the mind uses thoughts and the heart uses feelings (emotions).
each has a perspective on things.
the mind may trick itself into thinking that it knows all the answers,
but without incorporating the heart into it's knowing, there's really no
purpose served for all of it's knowledge.
the hearts knowing is of fundamental greater importance to human-beings
(as i understand the situation). mind, in service to heart, provides a
grander scope of understanding, and with purpose.
follow your hearts guidance Curious-one; that's my advice to you.

Emotions = heart?
Well, Paul...what if someone steps on your toe and the emotion
you feel is to punch them?
Now, if you tell me you hear a song and you feel your chest fill with a
type of glorious, inspiring, intoxicating euphoria...well, then I would
have a hard time saying that emotion was not your heart.
Now are emotions different than feelings? I'd like that explained...

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.
