Storing crystals when not in use

Any advice for storing crystals? I have several different crystals, and so far I've just kept them all in a velvet bag. Should I separate certain crystals to prevent mixing energies? Thanks in advance for any info!

I keep all of my crystals & gemstones together in a box. I don't think it's much of an issue honestly. Everyone I have ever known to collect and use crystals has always had lots of different ones in close vicinity with others. I don't think mixing the energies is that big of a problem. Once you take a specific one out of the bag and carry it on you it's not going to radiate the other crystals energies, it will retain it's original use and property.

Most of my tumbled stones are in one particular box, sorted by color/Chakra. I think we all have aspects of our lives that cause us to display a touch of OCD, and sorting things by color is one of mine, lol.

I have spheres stored in their own boxes, mostly for their own protection and to make them easier to access/use if need be.

I don't mind them sitting together. Even the spheres are stored in boxes that are kept adjacent to the box where my main collection resides.

Thanks Astral Explorer and Likes2read. I, too, can be a bit OCD, lol. I appreciate the feedback.

I never used my fireplace and it has a nice stone alter around it so I layed a nice decorative cloth on it and placed all my stones on it, organized by color/chakra. That's where I keep my collection that I'm not using atm

I have mine all over the place, but mostly they are all in those plastic type fisherman boxes/craft boxes.

They're a bit ugly, but I can see all my crystals at a glance.
