I agree Becklyn,

I know many psychics who have a hard time because of people like Sylvia Browne.

Thank you all for your comments. I actually am indifferent to Sylvia Browne and didn't follow her when she was alive, so I really couldn't say anything for or against her. My post was related to the reincarnational possibility of the mother being the daughter now. When we all first heard about the Amanda Berry and the other young women in captivity, it struck me odd that the man allowed a pregnancy to come to fruition only once during the 10 year captivity of the ladies. Then, a year later, I read about the Sylvia Browne reading that was "erroneous". As I read that story, I received the strong impression that the birth of the daughter in captivity was the mother. So I looked up the death of the mother and the birth of the daughter and saw that it came out to 42 weeks, which made me explore the concept that maybe the Browne reading wasn't "wrong", but for the mother's "best". It was just an exploration. I didn't realize people have such strong feelings against Browne or what she believed. Very interesting.

There was a website devoted to stopping sylvia (sly) browne - course she's dead now, l think..She really was a disgusting creature..
lt was a while back, but it still puts ppl on guard with these charlatan's. This is an interview with one of her ex-husband's. He decided to speak out.

http://www.stopsylvia.com/articles/i...ufresnes.shtml

These are a couple of things she said:

Quote:
I said to her as we were washing dishes and she was wiping or whatever, I said "Sylvia, how can you tell people this kind of stuff? You know it's not true, and some of these people actually are probably going to believe that." And she said - and I won't put it exactly the word that she said but she said - but "Screw 'em. Anybody who believes this stuff oughtta be taken." And that pretty much sums up Sylvia's philosophy about the psychic stuff. And it's carried over, you know, into her, quote, uh... fraudulent career.

And, this is what her son told him -

Quote:
He said that she told him that "Hey, what do you care about these people? You're never going to talk to 'em again. Tell 'em what they want to hear and move on. Collect the money and move on."

can I ask a question? I got mildly rebuked when I started a thread on Victor Zammit as it was deemed contrary to forum rules. However this thread doesn't seem to have been seen in the same light, can I politelely ask what I did wrong in the other thread. I want to post a question up regarding Susan Blackmore but I don't want to fall foul again so I'd like some clarity as to mentioning an individual. Incidentally, people like Sylvia Browne cause me to lose all faith in mediums. I'm not feeling very spiritual today. I'm feeling that we die and that's just it

Hello Members

Once again I find that I am closing a thread on Public Figures I strongly suggest that you go to our rules and read them please.

We do not permit such talk on public figjures living of deceased as we can be liable for what is said. Remember to show respects on the spiritual level even if you do not feel that the person runs with the right colour lights on their path.

Lynn
