Affirmations for spiritual awakening
I thought I would share this for those who are truly devoted to awakening spiritually.
I don't know if any of you have heard of the psychic/medium Sunshine Rose (known as 916suns on youtube)... but I was listening to a number of her videos last night and came across one that mentioned using affirmations to help bring about a spiritual awakening.
She focused on the small things.
But basically, jot down all the little things that bother you in day-to-day life. For example, Rose said that one of hers was looking at the trash bin, noticing that it was full, and getting annoyed because she knew she was the one who had to empty it. A few of mine include arrogance, rudeness, and drama.
I also included fears, but those will come later.
After you compile a list of pet peeves, simply start at the top and create an affirmation for each one. But only work with one pet peeve at a time. You want to be sure you've conquered one before you move on to the next. Take your time!
A few examples of affirmations: (I'm using Xan's examples since you want to avoid using "will", "not", "never," etc. Thanks again, Xan!)
Arrogance: I am letting go of arrogance and superiority./I accept that in truth all are equal.
Rudeness: I accept others as they are, each moment.
Trash: It's okay with me to take out the trash.
Drama: When my feelings come up I simply accept them and let them go.
*Note: Avoid using "will," such as in "I will never be bothered by arrogance." Although Sunshine Rose pointed this out in her video, she never explained why. However, I read Xan's post on the subject of affirmations. In it, she explains that the subconscious works in the present, and so saying "will" is ineffective. Instead, use present tense: am, are, is.
Just a tidbit I learned yesterday.

Evaah... I also suggest staying away from using 'never' or 'not' in affirmations as the subconscious mind then just reinforces what we are working to get free of.
Instead, frame your affirmations in a positive way, such as:
Arrogance: I am letting go of arrogance and superiority. / I accept that in truth all are equal.
Rudeness: I accept others as they are, each moment.
Trash: It's okay with me to take out the trash.
Drama: When my feelings come up I simply accept them and let them go.
This last one is a most effective affirmation for any situation:
"I accept myself as I'm feeling _______ and I'm willing to let it go now." with a few sighing belly breaths.

Cool!
I'd suggest staying away from using the words "letting go" and powerful words like "arrogance" as those two things are negative entities. Instead I would build a sentence that is the opposite "I am becoming" and "the opposite of arrogance" = "humble" maybe?

But what would I say in reference to others' arrogance?

The opposite of Arrogance, is Humility, being humbled, as you wrote yourself before, it would include accepting others as equals, and as they are. Are you asking how you would refer to other peoples arrogance? You shouldn't, you could use sentences like you have started on to make you unaware or accepting of their flaws.

I decided to just go with accepting all as equal, but yes, I was referring to others' arrogance.
Which is better/more efficient to use (in your opinion, of course):
1.) I accept that I'm feeling upset by this person's behavior.
2.) I accept the behavior that this person is displaying.
Based on what you told me, I figured #2 would be better since #1 mentions a negative feeling. But this would be used in a scenario where someone's behavior irritates you.

As I see it the opposite of arrogance is equality.
"I recognize that all of us are equal in our true nature"
"I respect each person in their own life path."

Cigala... Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of "letting go". This does not mean rejecting, but is an allowing and opening... which is all-important in anyone's spiritual and personal growth.
It's only how we cling to our patterns and resist change that keeps us trapped. Letting go frees us. In fact, there's a lot of benefit in making letting go a new habit.

Hi Evaah,
I think Sunshine Rose suggests not to use the word 'will' because it implies the future and not the present. You cannot obtain your goal if it is always in the future, it needs to be in the now.
"I WILL never be bothered by arrogance." means that it could happen anytime: tomorrow, next month or next year?
"I AM never bothered by arrogance." means that the affirmation has already started working in the present.
