Color Closing and grounding

I need your help guys.

why do you do closing and grounding after meditation??

how do you do it? It's so difficult. I mean to understand and do it. How will you know if you've done it properly? someone was explaining it to me in a way about a roots in the earth or was it in the ground. I don't get it :<

Hi marganda

When I joined a meditation circle at a spiritual church, the leader always made sure we 'closed' ourselves before leaving the building. She said we can feel rather 'floaty' if not...and as most of us were driving home, it wouldn't do to be 'floaty' when needing to concentrate on the road.

Imagining roots from your feet going into the ground (earth) is a good one. If I remember correctly, the leader used butterfly wings for the group. We imagined our wings closing in around us and making us safe. It also meant we were no longer open to other-worldly experiences for the time being.

And afterwards, give yourself time to readjust to the physical world. Take it slowly, open your eyes gently, do a few stretches and deep breaths. You could even stamp your feet on the ground. She encouraged us to stay an extra 10 minutes, have a cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat.

One way I teach is to imagine a geni pouring into a bottle (your physical body), then when it (your energy) is all in, pop in the cork!
You can also pull it in like a fisherman pulling in a net... focus on your energy flowing down into your body and excess energy continuing into the ground through your roots... close and lock a door and turn the sign from 'open' to 'closed'... there are many ways. Practice until you find what works for you.

I used to have a problem imagining the roots going into the ground. It was much easier if I was where I could feel the earth. I found a way around it when I was at the office, however.

When I'm indoors, I imagine my roots going through the floor and connecting to a water pipe. They wrap all around the pipe and follow it to the ground, then spread out wide. It really helped my bridge the connection from inside to out.
