Actually "Air, earth, water, and sky" don't exist "without you". Your subconscious creates your reality.

This is true in terms of our subjective experience. But I suspect that air, earth, water and sky were all present before we humans appeared and will still be present after we have moved on.

I posit that there is no objective reality.

Do you think that the "air, earth, water and sky" you perceive in your dreams exist there as you perceive them, and you just visit them? I don't think so. Then, why would it be true for your awake reality? Just because we call it "awake", and we say that it is "real"?

Also true, but perhaps it goes even deeper then that.
If the air, earth, water, and sky are all made up from particles, and the particles don't "exist as such" between the time they leave the source, and the time they have passed through the double slits and strike the detector/screen, unless of course a conscious observer bothers to try to find out where they are during that time, or weirder still later tries to discover where they were during that time, which causes them to come into existence as particles once again, perhaps even going back to the past if necessary to do so, then what are the air, earth, water, and sky made up of when no conscious observer is paying attention to them, now or even in hindsight?

Anyway, it isn't taking long for this train to jump the tracks so, back to the OP.

Perhaps at the end of the day we will find that we can live without all those things. Perhaps the air, earth, water, and sky, will one day prove not necessary for us to stay alive. We can create an artificial world to sustain us, it is really just an engineering problem that can be solved. But how many would choose such a life stripped of magic, romance, wonder, awe, beauty, friendship, and love. The argument often offered for "saving the environment" is that we need it to sustain us, to stay alive. What then should we do once we can sustain ourselves? We can keep a body alive through mechanical means for years, but is that considered to be "a life"?
