I have a similar problem, no official diagnosis. The knots occur mostly under my shoulder blades. Reiki helps when it flairs up, but yoga is what took away 90% of my shoulder/neck pain. Just start slow, and love and understand your body as it releases the physical manifestation of these energies, and you'll probably notice a difference soon. Let the yoga teacher know that is why you're there because they will help you. :)
Yoga impacts the body physically, mentally, as well as spiritually, could be the way to go for you.

hi there :) From my personal experience I know someone who has back pains that they suffer from. When I do reiki on them they say that they feel lighter and better.
I would suggest giving Reiki a try! However I will say that rReiki should never ever substitute medicine but rather be used as another tool in your box to help you. I'd suggest looking at other methods too, but Reiki, from my experience may help.
Do what you feel is right :)
