the wheel reference recalled this song to my mind:
Journey - Wheel in the Sky

the wheel in your dream is evoking the idea of events recurring in a cyclic
fashion, like the hands on a clock sweeping past the same numbers.
you had begun on a bus, with friends, before you'd entered onto the ride,
which may be saying that you and your 'soul family' have entered into
the karmic cycles of earthly incarnation together.
you have "invested" into the process, so i expect that you'll receive some
form of 'payoff' at the end of things (which doesn't appear evident within
the dream scene... you'd fallen asleep instead).
the middle of the sea might be the 'depths of the subconscious', distanced
from 'connection' to any other land [as if quarantined]. i'm keen to think
pf the goblins as representing the less than noble aspirations of humanity,
removed from spiritual values. you are entertained by the show they present
but are also allowed to view the goings on 'behind the scenes', which involves
discord and arguments. that is the point at which you were dropped off:
behind the scenes (allowing you to provide motivational inspiration for
how the show presented will unfold).
you'd been left off in the sand, which probably means at the beach, which
is where the water meets the land; your spiritual energy enters the scene
at that transitional point... you're 'invited' to bring your spiritual values
into play at that juncture (you've paid for the privilege).
alternately, the sand might be representative of a desert, which is commonly
thought to contain little or no evidence of life... meaning that you'll want to
transform it into a 'lush paradise' (i assume).
at the conclusion of the dream, it's seeming that you and your friends had
failed to bring enlightenment to the goblin show, and awaken them to
possibilities of joy beyond their little island, but had instead been drawn
into their dramas, and entered into a 'permanent' dreamstate. :(
