I have just finished reading ' the reality of mankind ' what a easy way of describing our journey through life, its so easy to understand,a beautifully written parable. Loved it. ♡♥

Thich Nhat Hanh has written some easy to read books on Buddhist practice. I would also recommend Ayya Khema and Pema Chodron.

great little book called "before he was buddha"...a kind of biography story of his life up to enligntenment. and buddhas "way of virtue" which i linked in another thread. i was unaware just how many teachings had been so well preserved. surprising that not more people aren enlightened but then i suppose such teachings have just become globally accessible..."progress" has its good points.

Would you be able to share something you learned or remember?
Sounds great.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Miss Hepburn you should watch it youself, its beautiful. One thing that will stay in my mind is he said, ' watch what thought is doing to yourself ' so true. At the end of his life he said that people never understood him, I dont think this is true though, but it must have felt like that, sad really. I,m off to look for more on youtube, lol.

always happy when k resonates with someone and i presented the opportunity. i'll link a few of my fave vids to save you some searching. sure the buddhists won't mind, they're pretty chill bunch

http://youtu.be/-i5Ohhbhkn4
Krishnamurti at United Nations - 1985 the fact its at the UN plus in the question/answer session halfway through he gives some particularly excellent and conscise answers

Krishnamurti - The Challenge of Changehttp http://youtu.be/gn6LhNwzaE4 another excellent documentary

Krishnamurti - Last Talks 3 of 3 http://youtu.be/EKLOX6vU5IE i think he walked away within a month orv two of this talk. kept his razor sharp perception to the very end

J. Krishnamurti - Beyond Myth & Tradition 9 - The Violent self http://youtu.be/GdE89RnA0XI watched this the other day. people talk about how being near him was enough to take your breath away, all worship nonsense aside. they mention in this how it was like having a freight train in the room. i was watching part of this vid and was becoming engrossed in the conversation and wondering when he was gonna ask the question i was thinking then he asked it in such a way that instantly tied in several angles at once and you get an instant demonstration of the muti-dimensional mind blabla great stuff. the fact has no duality
