Is anyone living in AZ or NM?
I am in mid attempt at moving.
I keep going beck and forth over where I want to stay.
I keep thinking about my needs.
New Mexico had several Artist in Residence programs. I also originally thought the U of NM would be a good fit for grad school. The state is also rich with history of painting andI am an Artist. But I also believe I wont be able to work as much over less opportunities and I feel the poverty levels.
But AZ especially near Phoenix it never snows. This is kind of
Trumping NM near Albuquerque. Because it snows an avg. Of ten inches in Albuquerque. It is so much bigger and there would be so much more work opportunities in Phoenix area. Its a little more expensive to live in than Albuquerque but I think worth it.
I was in CA by Feeding and I wasn't happy for the last five months.
I am looking closer at Arizona States grad program. And the one in Albuquerque. Turned out to have a strange goofy requirement I didn't want to deal with either.
The only ride I have been offered lately would just make stay sn extra two weeks in Minnesota. So it might be challenging to extend my visit. I wanted to leave around the second of Oct.

I live about 20 miles west of Phoenix. If you like hot and dry ( 120 f 10hum) The valley of the sun is for you.
PS you might want to check out Sedona , but it's become way commercial. Some artists in Scottsdale. Dr Rodgers ran a new age store in Phoenix. It's no longer there but still has a web site . It's az new age(dot ) com or close to that. I think he is selling stuff or I would post the link.
Pps if you want a retirement city, and have the bucks ,there places like Sun City.(55+ to live there)
