Hello,
I think I mentioned on another thread that I lay down to meditate, but some days I am too sore and achy and I find I fall asleep, but the other day my cat Mr Moggs jumped on the bed and I meditated with one hand on my tummy, and the other hand massaging the cats head and neck,it was cool and did not interfere with my session!
In fact it was better!
Good Luck.

There is an excellent visualization window right under your nose. It is shaped like a triangle but you can't see the whole thing. It runs backward from the tip of your nose to the top of your lip. This is a terrific place to find silence. I started out by just letting my brain find the middle of this space and following the wave outward.
