Love Letters/Songs To YOURSELF

Often times in this transcendental TF experience we fixate so much on the external representation of our TFs and we neglect to nurture the internal aspects of Union within ourselves. We forget to nurture, cultivate, and awaken the infinitely powerful Divine Being within us that we are. That is the part of us that is not only connected eternally to our TFs, but also to the entirety of the Universe.

An exercise I use for myself is that I treat myself like I would treat my TF/Beloved. I become my own Beloved and would be gentle, kind, caring, and patient. I would acknowledge any pain and listen to what it has to say. I can be present and I take good care of myself. Another exercise that I do is that I would woo myself with songs, poems, or love letters. Here's an example:

My Dearest Imzadi,

I bet you didn't know what you signed up for when you landed on this beautiful Earth. No, you didn't, but you volunteered for this journey and to be of service nonetheless. Good for you! You have a loving and compassionate heart for doing so even though I know it hasn't been easy. In fact, it has tested your limits to the extreme and you become broken over and over again, but you persevered and continue to persevere. With each illusion and delusion that you release, you become closer and closer to Liberation. And you are now on the final stretch to complete your Divine Mission. You are so so lovely and so so LOVED. Thank you for your service and remember, you are never alone and the whole hosts of Heaven watches over you and the others and applaud you for your work.

I don't think I've written letters to myself but I often tell myself: "Everything is going to be alright. You are exactly where you are meant to be in this moment in time. You are on the right path and something incredible is about to come to you in your future, so hang in there and keep working on your awesome self. Be present in the now and don't worry too much about the future. It's okay to have life goals and plans but be open to change and continue to be the awesome free spirit you are. Let your intuition guide you and don't be afraid to connect with other people. The light within wants to come out and you will find the way back to your true self, back to what feels like home..."

And I dare say I just wrote myself a letter. How about that?

Very lovely! It's interesting when we wholehearted write a letter to ourselves, many time it's our Higher Self that comes through or Higher wisdom that comes through or even our Guides and Angels. :)

Imzadi, Again you've done it. Thank you so much for this beautiful post. Your wisdom is needed here and I so appreciate you sharing it, and at the perfect time for me.

There is one particular song which I have listened to for years, and always think of my dear when I listen. Someone years ago said something to me along the lines of, "a moment will come when you listen to that song, and it is about yourself, not anybody else" and I am still waiting for that moment to come. I am nearing it :) I know I am. Your post reminded me of this.

Here goes... *deep breath*.

Dear Bluebird, Wow, just wow. Girl, WOMAN, I am so very proud of you. You have been given so many challenges. And no matter what, you have always returned to your heart, you have always persevered, and followed the Call... For, you know there is something waiting. Something your mind can not yet grasp but that your heart knows. My dear, you are stronger than you can imagine and you, Bluebird, are deserving of the grandest love. You are. I know you doubt this each day. Feel the doubt. This is Divine doubt and will make you that much wiser in the future. You have come so far. Keep going... and you'll see what awaits you.
