Changing Meditation
When I first discovered meditation (about 9 month ago) I was totally overwhelmed.
I sank into this beautiful world full of lights and peace and love. Usually there would be a guiding voice answering my questions,
telling me not to worry about anything and that I was doing great.
I had very emotinal experiences while meditating as well, like letting go of people who'd only pull me down and it helped me to realize a lot of things about myself.
Now lately I'm not experiencing this kind of clear meditation anymore.
I always sink into this half asleep state and I wake up a bit later not remembering anything of what I just saw. I still feel like it gives me energy but it's a bit confusing since I used to get very clear answers and enlightments.
I don't anymore experience these magical moments of realizing something essential.
Have you guys experienced similar changes of what you see and feel while meditating or could you imagine why it happens? It's a bit disillusionating, I miss this beautiful, peaceful palce and I'm wondering why I can't seem to fall into the same meditation like I used to...
Thanks for your help in advance! :)

You are trying to control.
Our experience will always change. You are given what you need when you need it not when you want it. The more you chase after it the less likely it is to happen.
Visions is a local mind interrupitation of the light. The closer we get to oneness/universal mind the less we will see and the more we will start to know.
We never, ever judge our meditation sessions by the scenery or how we feel during the session. The effectivness of our meditation is judged by how it effects the quality of our daily life. That is what you need to focus on.
Good luck.

Thank you so much! This has been really helpful. I think I've been trying too hard and I shouldn't meditate expecting to get the answers I want. I'm going to try to let go and just relax. Thank you :)

I can't add anything more to Jonesboy's sound advice. I've been meditating for many years, and what I experience seems to have changed often.

I've heard it said that sleep in meditation is a very deep state. My experience is that the mind is still during this time, and I believe you are becoming more able to hold the clearer states consciously.
