Eating chocolate for Reiki practitioner

This confection contains three chemicals that create problems for Reiki practitioners: Theobromine, phenylethylamine and sugar.

1. Theobromine is a member of the caffeine family. It affects the neurotransmitters in the nervous system, creating an imbalance that results in a stimulating or mood enhancing effect for some people.

2. Phenylethylamine increases attention and activity and can have an antidepressant affect as well. It works by increasing the levels of dopamine in the brain and also causes other brain chemistry changes.

3. Sugar can cause a rapid elevation of glucose in the brain, followed by a plunge, thus tending to unpleasantly affect brain chemistry. While it may appear that chocolate makes people feel good, this is not a natural effect and is the result of creating imbalances in the nervous system that limit one’s ability to channel higher quality Reiki energy.

Indeed.

I think you'd have to eat a heckuva lot of chocolate to have an effect on reiki energy flow... mind you, I'm more likely to eat it *after* a treatment...

Yep, I used to eat chocolate all the time, but only "good chocolate" organic high in coca etc, and I stopped about six months ago and feel much better in terms of I'm not up and down with my moods as much.

***likes***

I've never yet experienced a change or imbalance in my energy fields/flow as a result of chocolate or caffeine.

Passing around 'good chocolate' for each recipient after treatment was standard practice at my Reiki Master Teacher's share's.

Bright Blessings,
Serena Dracis
