From my experience, it's not necessary to see or feel auras, chakras, etc. I find it's best to pray to Source so that Source (whatever name you use for the Creator) opens our heart so that the love from the Source does all the work. Some people can see aura, but I find it more important to learn the difference between being in the heart vs. not in the heart. Feeling the love and joy in the heart and constantly asking for help if I find myself out of the love (this happens when I think too much.) The Love from the Creator does all the Reiki, healing, etc. We're just an instrument. It's very easy to get caught up on the sights and sensations and to forget to let Source do it for us. It's never about us and our ability to see and feel as so much letting Source do all the work for us. Personally I asked not to see anything for fear of me becoming arrogant.
But if you happen to see auras and you're able to not be arrogant, I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm not one of those that should see as I can feel that bad part of me needs to be kept in check.
Don't worry. As long as you open your heart, the Reiki will go as it should go.
