Which Foods Contribute to the Development of Serotonin, Dopamine and Endorphin?
Hi,
I learned while watching TED on YouTube how our belly is "another brain" that has it's gut flora that affect our emotions and how the foods we eat contribute to our emotions.
I want to know which foods contribute to the development of substances I mentioned in the title. Since I have bipolar disorder, maybe certain foods are recommended for me.
Thanks

A lot of info online TechicGeek. And my first intuition was correct (really just common-sense eating): natural foods, rather than processed foods containing additives and chemicals. It's processed foods and additives that are largely responsible for the epidemic in weight gain and anxiety/depression problems people are experiencing these days.

What your wanting are foods that contain various amino acids that are precursors to the neurotransmitters you mention.....
Frankly... these amino acids are very difficult to get enough of through diet
I'd try a good neurotransmitter complex ......you can order a really Good one online from www.painstresscenter.com
The product is called Super Balanced Neurotransmitter Complex......take it ar bedtime
I use this and feel that it has helped a lot.
