You are looking at people and trying to find motives.. This obstruction has been a reoccurring theme for years. Some are not easy to let go of..

You call it teacher mode, could it also not be friend mode? Would not a friend want to help a friend when he see's him caught up and hurting?

Why is it such a bad thing? I didn't tell him how to act, stop what he is saying. What to do, etc.. I reminded him of his own practice..

When we are caught up in junk.. it is easy to forget our practice.. While Gem and I have disagreements, I do believe he is serious about his.

Also, I used sir as a sign of respect, to indicate I wasn't attacking him but was trying to say things in a respectful way.

What you consider "feel" is your emotional response to my post not my energy. Your feelings are on display..

i have seen no proof of having preferences and emotions at whatever strength having anything to do with anything except personally from one to another.

i think much of the problems would go away on here if we stuck with or stayed more focused on whats real. everyone is gonna have personal differences and ideas of how to be. it would be helpful if we can seperate fact from fiction. i understand you and some others believe strongly in these ideas. perhaps show me a guru that has more power than ones i have come across that have prefences and sometimes strong ones. that would be a start to building a case.

Preferences?

Isn't one of the powerful guru's that you have come across one we both know? You can check on various forums going back years and years with people saying horrible, nasty things to him and about him and you will never, ever see him show even a hint of being upset. I talk to him daily and I have never seen it.

My ideas as you describe them are described in detail in Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism as part of the path. Since this is the Buddhist section it is called clarity.

What is the energy clearing? Obstructions. What are obstructions? Your mental attachments/upsets.

Now people can debate the means all day long. I have a means that works for me. You have one that works for you. Great.

But if you don't think the path is about removing all that junk.. then man.. we are way far apart in our views...

who is this guru? are you speaking of Jeff? i don't know his power. im either not in tune with him or its not in the same park that i was speaking about. im not suggesting he is or is not. im simply saying i haven't personally experienced the kinda power im accustomed to.

That is done by dropping your obstructions.

I won't go through all of the teachings. Just know the answer isn't to run away... it's to go within and clear your issues. In Ryan speak.. loving kindness then would always be radiating.. even towards that pesky woodpecker..

The answer isn't to move and build or buy a new hut all because a bird is bothering you. That is an example of a mind clouded, caught up in the emotional upset/obstruction.

I must stand up for all (Sacred)Woodpeckers(From the Divine) across the lands.

My answer would be, talk to the bird and thank the bird nation for pointing out the tree is ready for heating the hut with Sacred Fire.

your speaking from emotions. emotions is not bliss nor silence. power does not come from happy emotions.

if emotions block bliss and silence from you. i would suggest your second chakra needs opening.

i would agree about emotions being a block until it became not a block. which i found comes from a very open second chakra. thus freedom.

I was relating to your point about being a human.

Now it seems you agree with me that issues block chakras that come out as emotional upsets.

As they clear you realize bliss and silence..

Isn't this what I have been saying all along?
