One more moon poem...
LET ME COME TO YOU BY THE MOONLIGHT
Oh, let me come to you by the moonlight
Flowers braided in my hair
Let me come to you by the starlight
And let me linger there.
Oh, let me fall into your deep, dark eyes
On your soft lips wet with dew
I’ll loose the gates that guard my heart
There I’ll get lost in you.
Oh, let me sit upon the mountain top
Enclosed in your embrace.
Let the winds of time sweep over us
Imprint us with this place.
Softly wrapped in your arms and blankets
Watch the moon traverse the sky
As the night sounds sing their anthems
For night souls, you and I.
Then let me leave you still in moonlight
With the eastern sky alight
Before the sun breaks o’re the rim
For we’re creatures of the night.
As the sun bounds forth in his brightness
In blissful sleep I’ll dream
Of the wonder there within my heart
Born of the moonlight’s beam.
