Good afternoon!

My cousin wanted to know whether he would reconcile with his old flame Laila. They were on/off for years as teenagers but decided to be friends (didnt work out, both very much in love with each other).

She came back into his life saying she wanted to try again but he said he took it as meaning resuming their friendship - so she obviously felt rejected & now she's off again.

The Ace of cups is one of my fave cards. It represents an outpour of emotions, new emotional starts and healing. Since it's an Ace it's the beginning of its suit. So it's early days yet. I've heard other readers say this card can represented one sided emotion. as in one person has an outpor of emotion for another, yet its one sided. It's not the 2 or 3 of cups were it is reciprocated. However for me this card is emotional wellbeing and good health and all in all a feel good card. So even if the emotions are not reciprocated the sitter will still experience what this card offers. New beginning of emotions, healed emotions. It's pure love this card offers. When this card appears it's connected with what can feel like a connection to God - source, whatever you wish to name it. The sitter can feel comfort in feeling connected spiritually to something higher.

Ace of cups with 10 of pentacles... I'd interpret it the same way. It's an offering of love, a new beginning, and 10 of pentacles is an investment, in it for the long haul. This is a very positive combination for love and reconciliation.
