Rooney's your hero..?

He's a weakling . Woyldnt put him on my turf LOL...

Ouch, the disrespect. So all-time goals count for nothing in football? Scoring-wise, Wayne is the equivalent of Gordie Howe in hockey and he's considered a legend, a top 5 player in the history of the game. I know Wayne's not a top 5 or even top 20, still...

The thing with me is I don't cheer for teams, I cheer for players. And Wayne has always seemed like a super great guy. The day he left Man Utd is the day I switched teams. They'd been my team since the 90s, I watched them on the telly in Scotland in '99 when they completed their treble.

Thanks for putting up with me AngelBlue, I'll try not to disappoint too badly.

Rooney was good when he was young, he became sort of mediocre after his mid 20s, which is kinda odd. Players usually reach their peak later on.

LOL I don't suffer fools gladly Baile ...
And I know Rooney might be one of the top scorers but he was too pale for my liking, especially when he was in the England squad ..
Under performed !!
Having said that I was never that keen on Beckham either...
Some might call me "picky" haha ...

Nah..it's all great fun and banter on here and you are most welcome.
We are all pulling apart Man city just now but we mean no harm.
It's all friendly fun...

So man U were your team ??
Oh dear ... Well we never judge as I say !!!
So who did you switch to after Rooney left ?

A much needed win for Arsenal to keep them on top but only just.
Were winning 3 nil and spurs pulled 2 back .
Man city kicking off soon and they've still got games in hand.
Crucial match.
Hopefully knowing Arsenal won will rattle them a bit and the nerves will get the better of them..

...No score yet in city/forest game.
Strictly speaking you would expect city to hammer them given that forest are in relegation battle.
But maybe that's the point, they both have so much to gain.
If forest can somehow win this , or even get a draw it will be amazing !

Welcome here Baile. Always glad to see a new face, so to speak.

Yep Rooney was a legend in his day. He was like an animal on the field tho, but it takes that kinda drive to win. His “bicycle kick” goal was awesome!

Great win for Arsenal. Just can’t see them beating City because as I said City has two games in hand. I really hope I’m wrong.

I was disappointed for big Ange cos I wanna see him get his team in the champions League instead of Villa. But even if he gets them in the top six and the Europa he will have done extremely well for his first time in the PL.

Forest vs City today. I’ll tell you Forest will not be a walk over for them cos this team plays like animals and takes no prisoners. Wouldn’t it be brilliant if forest beat them. Now that would make me a happy little bunny ha ha
