The mind

Thought Ide ask a question and see what people think about this.

What is the nature of the mind?

Spiritually? 1. To keep us separate from what is beyond the Mind?
Living here in the world? 1. It's a fantastic creative computer!

And there's MUCH more to the nature of the Mind...what a tool it is!!
But, I'm no intellectual...that was just me saying that off the top of my head.
(I don't really think on these things much---now the nature of the heart is a whole other thing!)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

It creates my world and at times needs taming, it jumps from one thing to another like a Monkey in a tree and gives me a headache

Sorry guys I don’t know how I asked this question under Lightworker. I must have hit the wrong button.

Miss H if you want to move this under another subject please do.

Oh my goodness and the mind is deeper than the deepest ocean and greater than the universe and can hold SO much.
After the miracle of birth and how a little baby is created my next thing I can't get my head round is how much our minds can think and take on board. It is just endless .

Thanks everyone. Sorry for my late response. I had forgotten that ide posted this.

Buddhism refers to this question but doesn’t give you any particular answer. Well not that I could see anyway. So I just thought ide ask others to see what they thought.

I kinda thought that it meant, “where does the mind come from and where/why did it start”. Something along those lines. But not sure really.

Yep it’s a bit too complicated and would take a lot of time and energy to figure out. Maybe not such a good idea lol

Red have a look at Thich Nhat Hanh , He has various teaching on 'The Mind' that you might find interesting. Look on ' Plum Villages' official Website....

But if your mind is thinking, then who is observing the mind thinking?
I personally believe we have two minds, one the thinker and the other the observer...

Hii sky,

These things always are fascinating… such a weird place these things. I personally have a very different mind than most. I divide it into brain and mind for myself. They are both me, but my brain has a “granted” part that is given to have a phyiscal life. Some people have a different “given” brain, and it is more or less capable. It gives us opportunity for growth and experience IMO. But perspective on it may vary from person to person, and this may be misunderstood or someone may have another opinion.

Kind regards,

CW
