At the ball
All gala gowns
For all
As havens of satin
And cages of chiffon
Imprisoned
in an ocean of dreams and desires
Captive on an island
Of glorious vanity and fear.
Sitting sully waiting
As life and love
Dances me by.
I scream.
Of course everything stops.
Fortunate like that.
I guess.

Light bounces
Off my windshield
And shines straight through the glass
Both
Like darkness and fear
Bounce off of us
And disappear
But unlike light
It cannot pass through
It does not keep
Bouncing for eternity
It quickly fades
The redirect removes the
Surface tension
And the shade dissolves
In the tiniest breeze
The assymetry is the
Key
No balance can ever
Be achieved
Light is ahead
And can never lose.

Oh I don't wait. Well, very rarely. But there was a scene in The Favorite that reminded me of our ways before/after realizing we create... The immaturity that will not leave us, the spoiled emotional paths of the mind.
A Queen calling for misery for all.

No hell below us

Flawed and imperfect
They've been received by
Immature minds

The only certain thing in them
