Gemcutter, and how his/here energy affects Crystals?

Today, I wanted to give the one of my new rough Crystal to be shaped and polished. I always go the same lapidary artisan, and he's shaped and polished every rough Crystal I really liked and find it's worth investing money in that (usually expensive to do and Crystals are rare and hard to find).

I am not a professional, or seller, I use Crystals only for my personal use.

He wasn't there and one of his co-workers told me that he's a serious heroin addict for many years, and that he's not well and not sure if he's going to work and more. Shocking, for me...

I started to think: every single crystal he's done for me is still waiting for the "good" moment to start to work with, and waits in my "storage".

I think I will never work with them.
What do you think, am I over-reacting?

I believe it's important who is cutting your Crystals - they definitely imprint part of there's vibration for good (it's a shape of Crystal, a very important thing, imo).

It's probably an over-reaction in the sense that there's all kinds of ways of adding positive Satvic Vibrations to crystals. I could just sit my crystal spheres out on a gold ring, outside and allow rainwater to purify a lot of the negativity that is inside of them. But if somebody touches my crystals, especially a person like that, then I'm likely to feel that there isn't any other recourse but to to go for the salt ... lol

Being a heroin addict won't necessarily make him a bad person. Troubled and on a pretty bad path, but maybe the work with crystals and shaping them gave him some peace and that also reflected in his work?

Cleanse the crystals to start with and go from there. If you don't want to keep them or feel like you can't work with them, gift them or sell them on.
