should get a camera, strange things happening

I dont know if i should get a camera to record things in my house when im asleep or not there.
my puppy gets locked in the kitchen with a tall gate which is impossible for her to get out, i even put tall furniture by it and she cant climb it.

The thing thats puzzling me is when im out i come home to find shes running around the house and gate and furniture not moved at all.
At night she tries getting out but cant, this morning i came down stairs to find she was still locked in kitchen and hadnt been in livingroom.
In the living room i got a tall cupboard and at the top is dvds and a toy figure, i found it on the floor and dvds all messed up even though i polished and tidied last night.
everything else was tidy and in place but these things. It could of only happened if cupboard was shaken but all the stuff would of come down as i tried.

Its really baffling me, i know theres a spirit man in the house but hes harmless. Would it be a bad idea for a camera. my partner seems to think it will wind up what evers happening

You might just pick up some things. Especially if you engage in night vision.

You'll be able to capture heat and moving energy

I would set up a camera if I were you, that way you can see exactly what is happening or the events will cease. Try it. If you do catch something on film it would be great.

I would more be inclined to put out a motion detector that sounds off when there is something going on that way you can go and see first hand.

I have found that if it is ghost activity they know well the camera is there and will do many things to avoid it or even drain batteries ect. I know well that I went throug a brand new set today in a matter of 10 mintues.
