Thoughts on poker?

I played quite a bit. The money aspect in combination with the game, some social aspects. The competition. The challenge.

But allways more for fun at the micro stakes. Whenever i started to play higher some dark feeling came over me. Mayb cause i used some telepathics in my game. And its not allowed to use it for that??? I dont know. It seems a dark game really and whenever i won a good chunk in a tournament some dark feeling came over me. I dont know. I wonder what other takes on this subject are out there. I havent played for quite a while. But lookin back mayb my motive was too much out of greed which is a flaw (on higher stakes). Only winning from weaker players. However in this game almost all money comes from weaker players. They are called fish. And the better players pray on them to take their money. U know a fish at the table within a couple hands and u know the better players.
When u see players win big prizes it seems so appealing. But... idk.

Your human in all ways of being you and being human. If your playing and receiving matches your inner expression more open and clear naturally you are less infused with those feelings, but all feeling is a recognition for you to notice yourself in some way. Its up to you to source that for you so its hard for me to say.

You did mention greed as a flaw maybe you have some kind of issue in you around how you receive money? And how you play in games in the game of life. We are conditioned in so many ways of life and how we interact creatively. I mean mostly you have to be true to you in all ways of life. Otherwise it catches up to you in some way to become aware of yourself more so.

Agree with naturesflow. There's no incompatibility between what one likes to do down here on earth and spiritual leanings/current (provided they can be reconciled...like some people may think gambling immoral but if you're happy with gambling then go ahead!) Some people like to take a bet now and again, play the market, etc. Whenever I buy equities, hoping to build up savings through dividends, I'm taking a chance. One could describe it as greed but I don't see prudence that way. One also likes to win. Is it this thing people here call ego? Does it matter if it is? Or is it just that you like the game? And if you have a little extra money, chances are you'll spend it helping to support others in their jobs, etc.

When it comes to greed, have a look at the LoA threads. You'll see plenty wishing for "abundance"....not a particular item or need in most cases, just abundance. And, as you will already know in this commercial world, that would come at someone else's expense. How d'you describe that?

Those last sentence about abundance, yeah i guess it all comes from someone elses expense... And thats exactly the trouble i have with poker. Or somewhere. But when i see other players win, i dont have that at all. Im like, cool look how much they won. Not to everybody, but some.

I read somewhere that some high stakes poker tournaments employ psychic blockers to prevent cheating in this way.. although, I can't seem to find the article now. It was one of those 'behind the scenes' activities anyhow.

I don't see how there could be something wrong with "competitive" gambling as long as it's practiced in a way that's "good" & "right" to you

My mum was pretty well versed in gambling for profit.. or more accurately, when there was a need for money to achieve something important / necessary, she'd divine the right lotto numbers and win what she needed.

I'm going to advise people against seeing psychic abilities as a way of making money.. unless you're providing a service to other people. There's a natural ebb and flow of energy, which money is (currently) a part of. If you take more than you need, or enough that it would disrupt your ideal path, they events will happen to rectify the imbalance.

I'm no stranger to sending out energy to get some material things that I want/need.. but it needs to be done in moderation. You have your life lessons to learn.. if large amounts of money was a part of those lessons, you would likely already have large sums of money.

For one seeking a spiritual path or even enlightenment there is a stumbling block placed in the way by taking other peoples' hard-earned money (even if they are OK with it in their desire to take yours). If I were you I'd give what you win back, this action will smooth your spiritual path and bring happiness to your peers, I am of course only suggesting a 'good' and 'right' way.

Combining avarice and 'spirituality' can lead to some hard decisions.

Not sure if im psychic but i do very well at casinos compared to online gaming. To the point where i do suspicious things in their eyes and im pretty sure the only casino i went to started recognising me and kept a close watch. They did something i wont say that makes me think they operate like a mob and i refuse to go there anymore... You dont want money runners thinking youre their enemy
