4th generation tarot reader to carry on a legacy!
Hi I'm Hana aka Hanita! I'm a 4th generation tarot reader, I inherited my mom's first deck when I was 14. It's a 1960s rider-wait give to my mom before my great grandmother died. It has all kinds of key words my mom originally wrote and I've added to! It was her learning deck, mine, and will be my kids. I'm still learning to memorize and be confident in reading and hope to graduate to a "grown up" deck soon :p
My mom's side of the family is very eclectic and mysterious, starting back to my great grandmother, who was born in Panama as an orphan and was adopted at 13 to be a servant to americans. She was a hustler (professional dancer, gold digger, fortune teller, doll maker, witch doctor!!) I have grown up hearing exotic stories of her and her life, she's the family legacy! My grandmother however, was entirely embarrassed of my great gran, and just wanted this picture perfect 1950s suburban american life - she made my mom and aunts even go to catholic church to "be normal" and told people my great grandma was a maid :/ My mom, the youngest, ended up only learning the tarot after being gifted her deck. 1960s came and apparently everyone dropped the holy catholic act, joined the hippie revolution, moved to morocco or Canada or became hare krishnas. I am most definitely a reincarnated hippie and $1000 away from moving to Morocco. Or Seychelles, or India. (BC Morocco is not the hashish smoking, american loving place it was mid 20th century)
When I master the art of tarot reading, I want to offer them to clients at the salon I work at in my down time. I have a spa room at this salon, where I make my own skin care, offer "farm to table facials" and aromatherapy. I have only been in business for a few months and it's been an empowering, exciting yet a major struggle!!
I joined here to exchange ideas, and learn more about aura cleansing, gemology, herbology, tarot spells, and spiritual elements that I can incorporate into my spa room.
Thank you for reading my novel! I look forward to learning a lot here from all of you :)

Welcome to the forum! I'm new as well and am also learning tarot. I think it's so cool that the tarot tradition has been passed down in your family! Looking forward to more posts from you!
