Is there any special meaning regarding spiders?

Let me start off by saying I am NOT a spider fan. Since I was young they have always creeped me out no matter how big or small or type.
I hate harming any life which means I don't even kill them. I see them, ask them if they nice and leave me alone and don't come near me that I would leave them alone too.
Lately though and I have avoided asking this in case I just sound crazy, but is there any significance or sign regarding spiders?
In the last 4 days I have seen so many more spiders than usual. 2 of which in the same day made their egg sacks right near me. 2 Different breed of spiders, 1 in my house and 1 on my scooter. Both areas are used often by me and not like it's an un-used area full of cobwebs and dust. Last night I dreamt I was in a house and it was plagued with spiders and a big one actually started chasing me. Now I am not unrealistic and by big I mean like a baboon spider size and not 8 legged freaks (movie). This really scared me and made me wake up at 3 am. I then saw another spider on the roof directly above my bed. I was exhausted so fell asleep again. then this morning while in the shower, a spider came into the shower but half drowned. I tried saving it, but by the time i could it was already dead.
This is just really starting to creep me out...
