Thanks for the lesson. I am somewhat of a history geek and I always appreciate learning about ancient cultures. I can just imagine in ancient times, story tellers wandering the region reciting entire epics from memory captivating crowds with their ideas.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

This is what we're kissing nowadays. Back in those days they would sit around the campfire and relate stories made of stars and morals turned into pearls of wisdom that we just don't have, yet they probably had more meaning than much of what we have today. But really, I have to wonder about how different those stories were then to what we have today, because when you blow away some of the dust they're not so different after all.

It's not until you begin to delve through the layers that something more interesting appears. According to the Gospel of Judas Iscariot the God of the disciples wasn't God but a demiurge created by God. `'God' the creator was created, and everything that's said about him was created by the person saying it.

It's not God we're trying to reach but the Pleroma.

God is as you believe God to be. (Or in more generalised form, how you believe life to be). If you believe that God is loving, then that is what you will experience, and everything in your life will reflect that. Believe that God is vengeful, or that life is hard and difficult, and you will get just that. Some of the best life breakthroughs I have had in recent years have been when I have been using a positive affirmation starting GOD IS. I then attract solutions or shifts in reality which I couldn’t have made happen myself.
