Crab cakes were so very good but very taxing on my leg. I didn't realize it would take so long to prep for them and between that and the zucchini casserole I made to go with them, I was up on my leg for over an hour. I'm paying for it now.

Several days ago I crock potted a corned beef brisket and vegetables. That's safely in tummy's, and, well, long gone now, but I had the broth left and it was so delicious I am canning it at this time. I got 4 pints in my pressure cooker right now. It will be a nice treat this winter.

Oh, almost forgot....we are having leftovers tonight. Hubby will have the last of the corned beef and vegetables and I will have the rest of the swiss steak and sauce over rice. We also have some leftover mashed potatoes and a bit of the zucchini casserole that needs to get used up. Waste not!

There once was a guy flying a helicopter who hit a bird. Smashed through the windscreen and knocked him out. He was ok because the autopilot was on at the time.

He took that bird and roasted it.

Moral of the story. If you're flying a helicopter and get knocked out by a bird then remember to pick out all the bits of glass before you cook it.

Just saying, incase that happens to anyone. You never know, right?

I've got another package of turkey wings to use up. I will duplicate what I did last week but this time I will bake them at a higher temperature to render the fat out of the skin. The recipe I used last time baked them at to low of a temperature.
