We do that at the communion table when we heed the words of Jesus….”Do this in remembrance of me”…..we make him the living Jesus….
For me Mnemosyne holds the key to memory and I feel a great fondness for her even though have never connected with her formally. Just to know that we can never be completely lost I am ever grateful. How this connects to the Christian version of the Kingdom of Heaven I do not know exactly.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Thanks, buddy. :)

But, ya know ---let's bring up any Greek gods in General Beliefs, not in the Christian thread.
An entire thread could be dedicated to them!

Sure no problem. I thought that with the talk of other abstract historical aspects of the divine feminine such as Sofia that it would have been ok. I was raised Christian but as I have struggled to find my way my experiences led to understandings that I guess confuse conservative Christians. So will try to discuss these other aspects elsewhere. Thanks and sorry for the interruption.

Yes, it's interesting for sure. I have read a fair bit on Gnosticism.
The Gnostic worldview developed alongside Judeo-Christianity, however, while Christianity emphasizes faith, Gnostcisim emphasizes a state of consciousness for knowing God directly. Gnosis...
Although I think most Christian mystics from all sides would be doing just that. Faith is a good foundation.. just reading the bible alone is OK, but what does it awaken?
And this is it for me, I know Sophia, it's just a word I give this flow of divine awareness, it comes to me as a personal revelation. the interesting thing is, it's not from me, She Upholds my faith and prayers.
I write poetry about her interactions, it's all over there... Lol.. Love you all.
The Roman Catholic church would have burned me as a heretic long ago...

So the Bible is written in Greek so we should be fine, HOPEFULLY.

Ah really, I can't seem to get it anymore, need to tweak my VPN perhaps.. what country are you in..
Quan Yin... the compassionate one, I could learn to love her too. Known as the Feminine version of the masculine... it makes me laugh. Sophia is the feminine side of Christos I think at times.
Quan Yin,,,I googled her....
