From my perspective, the problem seems to originate from the first verse in the Bible which uses the Hebrew word אֱלֹהִ֑ים which is pronounced in Hebrew something like ’ĕ·lō·hîm and can be translated as God, god, gods, Angels, etc. but apparently was never translated properly in most, if not all Bibles. From my perspective, if we could get a better grasp at what was written, we might have a better understanding at what is/was being conveyed to us.

It does seem interesting that the Apostle John/Saint John, began his Gospel similar to how Genesis 1:1 began. Both scriptures, are 'packed' with a lot of information.

The Hebrew rule for Elohim is never plural for the true God. Some try to teach it is a name and that is error as well.

Kjw47,

The small g works if your religion believes in multiple gods. Otherwise not so much…….

From my personal studies.....
The Hebrew word that sounds something like Elohim first appears in Genesis 1:1 as אֱלֹהִ֑ים and is translated in that verse as God.

Using the King James Bible:
In Genesis 30:8, that same word is translated as "with great".
Exodus 9:28 gives a similar rendition: "that there be no [more] mighty".
Exodus 20:3 renders the expression as "gods".
Exodus 22:9 renders the expression as " [and] whom the judges".
Exodus 22:28 renders the expression as "of gods".
Exodus 23:13 is rendered the same as above.
Exodus 32:16 renders the expression as "of gods".

and then 1 Samuel 17:26 sometimes gets rendered as "angels" in some Bibles.
