That's interesting because an ancient contraceptive in Scotland is rabbit droppings. They're quite convenient too. When you're lying on your back out in the heather just need to reach over. They're all around.
Talking about hundreds of years ago before latex was invented.

There is an interesting juxtaposition between the prolific ability of rabbits to reproduce and the notion that rabbit droppings can actually be a contraceptive.
