i heard this somewhere about breast cancer, Jane Howell sees the years since her mastectomy as nothing less than a transforming journey." I'm not the same person was before. I now look after myself better than I did. I've taken a degree in counselling, I've discovered the joy of skiing (previously I was too scared to learn); I speak my mind instead of storing up hurt, and above all my marriage is a lot stronger than it was before cancer. Yet on diagnosis with a very aggressive type three breast cancer, Jane, a former nurse, despaired: 'I was just 40 and my youngest child was only six My treatment was delayed because the lump I first discovered a year earlier, seemed to disappear for a while. So statistically the prognosis was not great. I remember being so frightened and overcome with urgency to be rid of the tumour that I persuaded my surgeon to forgo his golf to operate on me the very next day.
In hospital, after surgery, I couldn't stop crying, irrationally convinced that I would never get out of the place alive. I remember the Sister reproving me and telling mel really had to stop the tears because a friend had arrived to visit. My friend just said that it was fine with her if I wanted to cry - she would just sit and cry with me. Moments later we were doubled up laughing because we'd seen the dragon off! And perhaps that was the first step to recognising that my world hadn't ended. The next was going out into the hospital gardens on day seven, kicking off my shoes feeling the grass still there beneath my bare feet. 'Yes' I thought 'I'm feeling a little bit stronger, and things do get better.'"

Hi knightofalbion,
Very informative link on breast cancer and I have bookmarked the link for further reference. We must spread this useful information to other to bring awareness related to breast cancer among people.

A team of cancer prevention specialists at the University of California, San Diego, found that women with the highest level of vitamin D in their blood had a 50 per cent lower risk of breast cancer than those with the lowest level.
"The results were very clear", said co-author Dr Cedric Garland, "the higher your level, the lower your risk."
To have a blood level that would cut your risk by 50 per cent, the researchers said that you would have to take 50 mcg (2,000 iu) daily and also spend 10 - 15 minutes in the sun.

Yep, getting your vitamin d levels optimal is important to cut your cancer risk (many different types -- over 17 kinds I believe). Optimal levels are between 70 and 85ng/ml. Everyone should know what their d levels are, 25-hydroxy is the test to order. Magnesium and K2 work synergically to help the body raise its serum D level. You may need as much as 7,000iu-10,000iu daily for 3-6 months to raise your levels. I had to take 20,000iu daily for 4 months to raise my levels from 11ng/ml (severely deficient) to 55 ng/ml (not quite optimal but getting there). My levels are now around 75ng/ml. and I can pretty much get all the d my body needs by getting sun in the summer. I just had blood work done to get my d levels tested (you should do that any way at least every year) since I really haven't been supplementing.

According to research they've done there, the University of Alberta has found a cure for several varieties of cancer, including breast cancer and possibly brain cancer, that is non-toxic and affects only the cancer cells, not all the other cells of the body. Check out that book mark folks especially if you know someone with cancer.
I don't recall hearing anything about cures for cancer in the past couple years.... but really, are we surprised??? Absolutely not because we all know that they don't really want to cure cancer because they all get to darn rich watching us die.
Anyway, my rant for the day. Don't forget to look at that link and bookmark it cause you just never know.

An acidic state is at the root cause of all degenerative diseases, from cancer to arthritis.
Baking soda/bicarbonate of soda can help alleviate numerous ailments, though I don't think it wise to take it carte blanche.
The wisest way to achieve a healthy acid:alkaline balance is through diet...
Eat plenty of fruit and (especially) vegetables.
