Hi Vince,
I'm just wondering how you personally cultivate that concentration and tranquility of mind.
I can stop my mind running around and creating fantasies for a reasonable time, and it's not the rampaging elephant that it used to be, but as soon as I let my awareness slip, it'll take the opportunity to create a poop, like a bad puppy.

It takes time, practice and dedication. I'd recommend beginning a daily meditation routine. You need to become aware of all the processes taking place in your mind, develop the wisdom to understand them and put them into the proper perspective, and then work towards eliminating the unskillful processes and cultivating the skillful ones. Buddhist teachings can be particularly helpful in this area.

VinceField said it well again. You need to be dedicated and lots of practice. If you keep practicing you will get there.

Slow breathing helps you to relax more.

The more stress you feel or any worries or concerns will make it harder to relax.
