A Tap on The Shoulder
Last night just before falling asleep, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned, thinking it was my cat who loves to get that last minute attention...but he wasn't there...he was asleep already. So I just say, Hello, but got no reply. Not knowing who it was...I protected myself and continued to fall into my sleep.
This morning I told my husband about it, and to my surprise, he said that he was tapped on the shoulder the night before and it had startled him because there was no one around. Then he asked, You think it might be your mom, now that you have her ashes? I had not even thought of that...my sister just gave me them on March 30th. Then I told him about my asking who the female spirit was that I was sensing and then given the vision of a name tag with her name on it.
As we left the house this morning, our dog was barking...my husband looks back as says to our dog..."Hey! You better behave Grandma is visiting!"

My brother in law passed away, and a few seconds after passing my mother in law woke up with a tap on her shoulder and looked back thinking it was him. It was him, in spirit, waking her up. The tap was meant for two things: waking her up so that she could go to his body (he had a stroke) and they were the only two people in the house; and telling her that his spirit was fine (that he actually had a spirit), which was something she wasn't sure she believed in till that night.
So tapping on the shoulder does seem like a way of making themselves acknowledged and sending out a message, wanting us to acknowledge something. At least that's what it seems.

My husband and I were joking around last night and saying that we wonder what else she will be up to now that she knows we know it's her...(our family is a bunch of long time jokers...don't blame me...it's genetic!) Anyway, a little later, while all was quite and we had just gone to bed, our fire alarm started sounding off...first real quiet, then loud, then quiet, then just stopped....I said "Okay Ma...you play with the lights, the ceiling fans and even the TV if you want, but PLEASE...not the fire alarm and NO appliances, now goodnight and I love you too." We had a laugh and called it a night.

I'm always glad to see postings by people who solidly believe that "death" is just passing over to another aspect of life, and are just as comfortable communicating with their departed" relatives and friends as they were when the same people were in the body...
