How do I speak to my guide?

How do I do it? I'm good at meditation but most of the times I do it I just stop because I don't know what I'm doing.. I've met my spirit guide twice in dreams and it's a woman. So yeah, how do I talk to her?

Hi,

I like to suggest a meditative practice which involves an imaginary conversation with your guide. Talk with this woman as if you were in a lucid dream.

Just listen and see if you hear her. You could maybe start with asking for her name and see what you get.

Also, (and not sure this is right, but it's what I needed)--I would ask for confirmations. So, I'd ask a question: Should I do this or that? IF you're here, give me a sign.

And I'd wait for sign. I've told this before, but I used to get feathers in response to these questions. I would look up the Native American interpretation of that bird and it began to be a language.

But I was always asking for confirmation. Eventually, I would get a leaf falling on my head after asking for confirmation.

One day, being unappreciative, I said, "Is this really the best you can do? At least you could make the leaf hit my head so I knew it was for me!"

I didn't run for a couple of days and forgot about it. As soon as I got inside the gate, this giant 20 foot branch fell from the eucalyptis tree on the side of the road and the tip of it landed on the end of my running shoe.

"Very funny! Haha." I said.

Be careful what you ask for!

I've only been in communication with my spirit guide for one year, so I may be a newbie still, but I learned early on that they like to "guide" but maybe not always answer questions if it is telling you what to do. They won't tell you what to do. That is your Free Will..... your choice.

A couple of times early on I would ask something like "Should I do this......" and the answer would be "If you feel that is the right thing to do, then do it"

I found it quite tricky in the beginning knowing what I could ask, and not ask. It's getting easier now. Just my experiences. It may be different for others.

True that. Some questions they just figure you (I) need to figure out so no answer comes!
