People change or don't. Something that hammered on my door recently and that applies here is this. It is possible to feel great love and attachment to someone and have wisdom tell you something else.
Do not base your decision on a level of how you feel right now......look elsewhere for guidance. Some of the most dysfunctional relationships start off with strong feelings of love and great attachment.
Look to both areas before making a decision particually when you are taking into account children. All the best.

Yes, people change all the time - the trick is in our acceptance, and to resist the urge to try to impose our own wish that they not change onto them...
