Verification of guide
Well, the figure in my dream/travel state is my guide, verified by an independent source. You might think it would be clear to me on instinct but the reader told me who was there without any prompting or thoughts on my part, went in as a blank sheet of paper as it were. Trusting myself must still be ahead on the syllabus.
So, what name to reference?
There was no preference.
My sense of propriety is initially at odds with this but going with the flow is how this works best.

Hi Crebb,
Great to hear you have met your guide!
So, what name to reference?
There was no preference
I suggest you ask your guide for a name. Be open to the way it will be delivered. For example, you may see/hear the same name throughout your regular day two or three times. Guides are subtle. I encourage you to have faith and go with the flow. :)

Go with flow, check. Much easier to be sure.
Ask for name, check. Did. Stated no preference.
Suppose that labeling is what makes us more comfortable. If the guide finds it unnecesary, who am I?

This is true...names are for human purposes, so that we feel a connection.
But, certainly not necessary.
