Healing, emotions trapped in fat?
I'm in the process of losing weight right now. I'm down about 24 pounds, and I know that when you lose weight your fat cells release hormones and toxins, which is why you need to drink a lot of water.
BUT.
I think this is being a healing experience. Many things have fallen away since late 2011, like jobs, friends, ways of thinking and being. I've changed so much from who I used to be, even though I know more change needs to happen. When I tried to lose weight before, it was so difficult because I was always so hungry. I craved and would go nuts just not driving out to the store for food. I was anxious and upset and really not in the best way to lose weight. The people around me were also not supportive and did what they could to sabotage my efforts.
This time there's none of that. But I do notice that I'll be prone to bouts of crying, randomly, and I just let it happen. I don't fight it. When I cry I think of things that upset me in the past that I didn't allow myself to feel about before.
I'm wondering if fat is like a holder of emotional energy that you release and deal with gradually? It's just a theory.

Its actually the other way around. You were becoming more conscious of your emotions linked to the fat. You dealt with it to a certain degree and then you were able to lose weight. In all cases it is always the emotions behind any physical condition.

Thank you for posting this. I've been down in the dumps and a friend suggested going to the gym. Then I thought about how happy people are that work out! I'm gonna try it out too! :) Good job on the weight already lost!

I just love this insight.
You become so much more clear headed when you lose the weight, like some of the weight has been taken off your mind.
