It's good that such "disorders" are in DSM-V too, Code V62.89 Phase of life Problems and Religious or Spiritual Problems.
It's a shame how many people are mis-diagnosed and how much they identify with the label. Some psychiatrists don't know much about spirituality unfortunately.

THe Psychiatrists who know nothing of Spirituality ..... are the Charlatan doctors ...... they do not know because they live in delusion themselves. They CANNOT know ~ Dangerous to even see them ~

Yes but the 'system' is set up that way. Psychiatrists prescribe, and that is all they do. A psychologist might diagnose, but there is nothing they can do.

My healthcare plan is an HMO. It is the insurance company who sets the guidelines. The goal is not to heal, but to get the patient to shut up. This is managed care.

I shut up, but there are times when I need support, and there is nowhere to turn.

Not here.

It's a good point, because it's not often mentioned, but listening is like the key to healing, and that also means enabling people's voices. Often times the voice of a person diagnosed with a mental illness is muted, and when it is heard, they discredit it because the person is insane. The system is all tied up in itself and is very difficult to navigate for practitioners and clients alike, so we find professionals have their hands tied by liability and duty of care laws, and reduced to mainly just obedience to policy and procedure - like to 'cover their own backs'. Frankly, very few are prepared to go 'out on a limb', but there are some few that will go above and beyond. It is difficult to approach calmly because it's usually a very unjust system dominated by powerful experts, to the disempowerment of clientele. That said, to get anywhere one has to play the system within which they are entrenched, and do it calmly and methodically, because we know any sign of distress and outrage will be seen through the diagnostic lens, and not seen as a normal response to a situation which is actually outrageous. So the voice is something to use with a great deal of tact, and with the awareness that those you aim to influence are in a very powerful position over you.
