Hello Everyone!
I was just wondering what people opinions were on "reversed" Runes? I have been practicing for a few years with the Elder Futhark and am finding mixed information on whether or not it changes the meaning if the Rune is cast upside down?
I know that Merkstave is the "Reverse" or "dark meaning"... but does this literally just mean an upside down Rune?
Also, the first book I had found that turned me to Runes in the first place was Ralph Blum's which has gotten mixed reviews as to the validity of the information. In the book he has one use a blank Rune or "Odin's Rune", I then read elsewhere that anyone who says to include a blank Rune doesn't know what they're doing... I removed the blank Rune from my set after that but recently read somewhere that it should be included... so now I'm confused about that as well.
I've only done self study and never talked to anyone about this so I appreciate any feedback!
Thank you!
