Ah. What I thought first was a spelling error turned out to be an unfamiliar term.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counting_coup

I have not heard about this, but it certainly seems both chivalrous and honorable.... and useful for morale.

"Risk of injury or death was required to count coup." Wikipedia

So without risk of harm to oneself, which is exactly what a warrior does, one could not count a coup. Being willing to die for ones beliefs, being willing to bring honor back to someone who had it stolen is what a warrior does. He brings justice in whatever way he can. If violence is not necessary then a warrior would not use violence. His ultimate goal would be to bring honor and respect, Justice.

The 'Warriors Prayer' that was quoted does not read like a prayer any warrior would pray. It is my opinion of course so take that for what it is worth.

Peace and Light be yours,
SpiritCarrier

I would also like to add that the words written were beautifully written. I enjoyed the poem as such. I was merely making comment about the title. I wish I could write as beautifully. Thank you for sharing the poem geminilite.

The Warriors Prayer

I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust.
In softness, I have strength.
In silence, I walk with the Gods.
In peace, I understand myself and the world.
In conflict, I walk away.
In detachment, I am free.
In respecting all living things, I respect myself.
In dedication, I honor the courage within me.
In Eternity, I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In Love, I unconditionally accept the evolution of others.
In Freedom, I have Power.
In my Individuality, I express the Godforce within me.
In service, I give of what I have become.
I am what I am.
Eternal, Immortal, Universal and Infinite.
And so be it.
