Pagan Folk

Omnia & Faun are two pagan folk bands I have discovered recently. I was listening to previews on Amazon and watching them on Youtube. Excellent. They are both unique and very beautiful. I can recommend them to you.

My Omnia CD arrived. It really is fantastic. The sort of music which makes you want to jump up and down and dance. Its beautiful too.

Got round to listening to the new Faun CD as well. Faun are bigger and grander than Omnia, but they are not better. The grandness of their sound lacks that simplicity and possibly purity that Omnia has.

But they are still very good.

Been doing a bit more research into Omnia and it seems that they are mellowing with age. The Pagan fire seems to have gone out in their latest releases. There are reviews of their latest albums which simply say they are not as good as they used to be. Which is a shame.

Alive!
Crone Of War
Pagan Folk

are the best albums apparently. All from the mid noughties.
