Not a hope, Terry. Not while Ireland have a pair of X-factor rejects or the UK with their recycled, third-rate Boy Band.
It's going to be better than ever - pop-tastic hilarious !
My morning paper [ a new "quality" paper - i ], has a full two-page spread on the "Cultural Significance of Eurovision" - usual journalistic claptrap except for one absolute gem !
"...............Finland's 2006 winners, the face-masked Visigoth heavy-rockers Lordi - [ imagine Lady Gaga crossed with AC/DC playing at a Lord of the Rings convention ........"]
Now, should I lay in more cheap wine or another crate of Stella ?

We'll see. I still think the top ten, maybe even top five will be dominated by western countries. Most of the favourites are all western countries.

Great contest and great songs last night. The UK came 11th and Ireland came 8th. Azerbaijan won with a great song. Almost all the songs were good with the exception of Moldova.

Only saw first hour then discovered BBC 3 had a live hour and a half show in the BBC Big Weekend - Foo Fighters ! Brilliant.

I thought the winning song was awful, just awful! I would have chosen any of the others (except the UK, they were pretty bad too) to win above those. Particularly liked the Italian entry.
