Almost any dark, or bittersweet chocolate can be considered vegan.

Vegan chocolate tastes better than milk chocolate. I was surprised -- pleasantly so, but surprised nonetheless. (But, as with anything, it can vary from brand to brand.)

Oh well that's good because so far I have found nothing tastes as good as meat but I am keeping it up I have been eating qorn replacements.

I'm not a fan of dark chocolate personally. But vegan chocolate is often made with soya milk and is really nice. Are you in the UK? Most supermarkets stock vegan chocolate buttons and dairy free bars, both of which hit the spot when I need chocolate.

You can find these in Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys as each stock their own brand named version, but they are just the same:

Also this is the chocolate bar from Tesco but I believe the others do similar versions:

Do shop around and look under 'free from' aisles. Supermarkets are very clued up on special diets these days. I am a dairy intolerant pescetarian (fish but no meat, and as vegetarian as possible) so I've had to learn what they do and don't do!

Just as a sidenote, if you are trying to avoid dairy as well (you don't have to avoid dairy as a vegetarian unless you want to be strict and/or vegan) some dark chocolate DOES contain milk. I've been caught out by this. Always read ingredients to ensure lactose hasn't been sneaked in somewhere.

I must say that I admire what you are doing. I wanted to do this for years, because I'm an empath, and it hurts sometimes, but I never really started on it. I go vegetarian for a while and go back. Firstly, it's because my mum/friends will get food for me and I really don't want to waste it, secondly, I'm quite careless - there was once I went vegetarian and accidentally ate prawn crackers. (I went like oh ****, WTS) Anyways IMO plants are living things too, and they feel it when we eat them. So I give thanks, and pray before eating. (Vegetarian or not)

Don't feel bad if you slip up from time to time. I've been a vegan for a long time, and still slip up at times. I think as long as you make an effort on regular basis, that's most important.
